American Tradition

Good Citizenship

Alexis de Tocqueville observed that Americans are, in general, a civic-minded people who have a strong grasp of the concept of enlightened self-interest. Indeed, most Americans understand that putting the long-term public good ahead of short-term private advantage is ultimately the most beneficial to the individual.

Continuing the American tradition de Tocqueville noted nearly two centuries ago, employers participating in the e-VeriFILE program are leading by example. It is important to all of us to nurture a business environment that respects the rule of law and rewards fair play.
